Q.
Owning a payphone... how does
it work?
A. Small Investment
Equals Profit
Owning a payphone is a simple way to eliminate phone abuse and turn loss into profit. Although there is the initial cost of purchasing the phone, you keep all the coins in the box. If for instance you charge 35 cents per a local call, you pay the phone carrier approximately 7 cents and make a profit of 28 cents if the caller stays on line the full period. Installation is easy, just plug into your payphone line and program. Programming is simple with our EZ programming instructions. Remember-owning a payphone is like a passive activity, the phone does all the work: you collect the coins. It's like having an employee that never sleeps.
Profit will depend upon use and charge per call. If your facility has few employees, customers, or members your monthly profit will appear small. However, a pay phone keeps them from making calls on your line so the HIDDEN savings can be substantial. Once they have to pay for the call themselves, they will reduce the time of the call or not even make as many frequent calls as they would on your business line. On the average, pay phones generate about $1,000 per annum.
Price: There
are various models, styles,
and colors. Price depends upon
function and features. Phones
that are non-programmable allow
only local calls and accept
only quarters are priced lower
than more versatile phones.
The smart phones have features
which include being programmable
from the key pad or even from
another phone, and they allow
international calls, card calling,
accept nickels, dimes and quarters.

Bell Pay Phones:
When you have a Bell payphone
you are charged a $48-60 per
month rental fee and Bell keeps
all the money paying you a small
commission. But when you purchase
your own pay phone you keep
all the coins. Furthermore,
Bell charges service fees up
to $100 per hour if you want
to change rates or time of calls.
You can easily program our phones.
Non-Profit Organizations:
If yours is a non-profit organization
by owning a pay phone, you can
provide your members with an
additional benefit of lower
phone rates. For example, charging
25 cents instead of the 35 cents
per call currently on a Bell
pay phone.
Restaurants and Lounges that provide a phone service keep their customers within their establishment and benefit by the increased patronage that an in-house phone generates.
Maintenance:
Although these phones are highly
dependable, if parts are broken,
wear, or problems occur, we
will be happy to provide service
and assistance. All our new
phones carry a 15-month warranty.
